The short answer
Start with the free report. It tells you what’s visible on your skin and which steps your routine needs. Pay for Pro only if you want the next part done for you: the exact product for each step, chosen for your skin and your budget, so you’re not working it out shelf by shelf or buying things you don’t need.
What’s free
- A scan from three photos (front, left and right), with a free sign-in. No card.
- A report on what’s visible, such as spots, blackheads, oily or dry areas, dark marks and under-eye darkness, including how clear each one was in the photo.
- An overview of your morning and night routine, with what each step is for.
- Your first product pick, named, so you can start straight away.
What Pro adds
- The exact product for every step. The free report tells you the kind of product you need. Pro names it, says why it’s there and links to a shop search so you can find it.
- How to use it. How much, how often, and what not to mix.
- Your routine to tick off, morning and night, in the app.
- Rescan and compare. A 7-day streak unlocks your next scan, compared concern by concern.
You can see a full example report first, free and Pro, without uploading anything.
How your budget is used
You choose a monthly budget: $0–20 for drugstore basics, $20–50, or $50+. Only products in that price band are considered. Your routine is built by fixed rules from a list of 82 real products, 54 of them in the lowest price band. Products that fit your skin type, concerns and region come first, and when two fit equally well, the lower price band is chosen. Brands can’t pay to be included, and the AI doesn’t pick products.
Many people don’t need more products, just the right few. Dermatologists at the American Academy of Dermatology note that effective products come in all price ranges. Read our guides to a budget skincare routine and products you probably don’t need.
Who should pay, and who shouldn’t
Pro is a good fit if:
- You’ve bought skincare that didn’t suit you, or you have half-used products you’re unsure about.
- You’re overwhelmed by the options and want one simple plan.
- You want a routine within a set budget, with a reason for every product.
- You’d like a routine to follow and a way to compare your skin over time.
Stay on free if:
- You enjoy researching products. The free report tells you which step types to look for.
- You already have a routine that’s working.
- You have a skin condition that needs a doctor. Please see a GP or dermatologist instead.
What it costs
- US$9.99 once for 3 months. One payment. It doesn’t renew and there’s nothing to cancel.
- US$49.99 a year or US$6.99 a week. These renew until you cancel, which you can do any time in Settings. New accounts get 50% off the first payment of one of these plans for 24 hours after signing up.
All prices are in US dollars. There’s no free trial; the free report is how you try it.
What it can’t do
- It’s cosmetic guidance from what a photo shows, not a diagnosis. It doesn’t replace a doctor or dermatologist.
- It can’t promise results or tell you how your skin will respond.
- It gives no face score or attractiveness rating.
- Shop prices aren’t shown yet, and the links open a shop search, so check the price and stock where you buy.
- Only halal-friendly products are suggested, but we can’t certify halal status.
Your three photos are sent to Google’s Gemini model through OpenRouter to make your report, using a setting that only allows providers that don’t store or train on them. They’re kept in private storage until you delete them. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Common questions
Should I use FacialStack?
If you don’t know which skincare to buy, try the free report: it shows what’s visible in your photos and the steps your routine needs. If you’re already happy with your routine, or you need a medical opinion, you don’t need it.
Is FacialStack Pro worth paying for?
It’s worth it if you’d rather be told exactly what to buy than research each step yourself. Pro names a product for every step, chosen for your skin and within your budget. Look at your free report and first free product pick before deciding. If you enjoy comparing products, the free report may be all you need.
Does FacialStack give a face score or rate my looks?
No. There is no attractiveness rating and no skin score out of 100. It describes what’s visible, how much, and how clear each thing was in the photo, then turns that into a routine.
Will FacialStack save me money?
It can’t promise that. It’s designed to stop you buying things you don’t need: you set a budget, each step has a stated reason, and when two products fit your skin equally the lower price band is chosen.
Can FacialStack clear my acne?
It can’t promise any result, and it doesn’t treat or diagnose skin conditions. It gives cosmetic guidance. Painful, deep or scarring breakouts need a GP or dermatologist.
